Hi Cheryl, just got my details through for the round the world trip starting on 13/11/08. Travelling with New Zealand Airways. Baggage allowance states up to 2 pieces of luggage 23KG (50lbs) each. Can I take slightly more in one suitcase as I don't want to take 2. Please advise. Many thanks, Carol

Hi Carol,

I'm afraid 23kg is the maximum per case, so you won't be able to take one bigger case instead of 2 x 23kg ones. I think the reason for this might be to avoid porters having to carry bags that are too heavy.

Also, did you mean Air New Zealand rather than New Zealand Airways?
