I was just wondering if you knew or could find out for me if the safes in the hotels on the American Golden West are free? If not do you know how much roughly they would cost to use, as I didn't really want to take all my cash and travellers cheques around with me. Do you know what other just you customers use if they don't use a safe?

Most of the hotels on your tour offer use of a safe, either in your room or at the front desk. One or two make a small charge but generally speaking the service comes as standard.

Another option is to put cash and travellers' cheques in a money belt and wear it under your clothes.

I have done a few trips now with JY, I don't allways use a safe, I carry it around with me. The few times I have used a safe, I have doubled up with someone else as on some tours to take over alot of boxes at reception is too much, this has alwyays worked out fine. I have never been charged for this on a JY holiday. I am due to go on a USA Tour in Oct and will be staying in 6 hotels in 10 nights so I will not bother with a safe as I will be scared of leaving it behind as we will be moving on to the next one quite quickly. If I was staying in just a couple of hotels, I would definately use the safes on offer.

So in answer to your question......yes the hotel offers the use of a safety deposit box at no extra charge.

On the hotel website it states that you get full usage of the fitness centre so to me that means at no extra costs, however I could email them for you to get a definate answer?

That would be a good idea, because if I have time, which is probably unlikely, wouldnt mind using it if it was nearby. If you get this info, can you email it to my hotmail account please. Also is it possible to request a non smoking room in the hotel as well as a request for an aisle seat on the flights to and from Rome. Apparently we are unable to do this on the BA online website as you have made a block booking. Thanks,Sue

I am just waiting for a relpy from the hotel regarding the leiseure club. I will email your hotmail account as soon as I hear. I am afraid I cannot request aisle seats as I do not have access to the booking system, however if you try calling the booking line, they may be able to help you with this?
