I'm Graham and am off on the Croatian Island Explorer this Saturday (4th June). I was wondering if there was some help you can give regarding the tour.

I am most concerned about just how bad the wait time is at Heathrow Airport, particularly as it is Jubilee Weekend. How swiftly do we get through the security checks now?

The chauffeur company is giving me worries as well. I changed the pick up time from 08:50am to 7:00am. Addison Lee have had some awful reviews. I wonder just why JY are employing them. I would never have chosen them normally. I also altered the wait time at Heathrow for the journey back from 30 minutes to 70 minutes. Just how are we expected to get from our airplane seat, to passport control and baggage reclaim to the pick up point in half an hour? Nonsensical.

Lastly, any help for the boat itself? I have one of the top cabins.

Hi Graham,

I got through Heathrow in 20 minutes, from walking into the terminal to getting into duty free! That was on Tuesday 10 May, terminal 4, going to Croatia with JY on a 9.05am BA flight, I was amazed. It was helped by the fact that I had checked in online and printed my boarding card so I could go straight to bag drop, so I'd suggest you do that if at all possible.  

I went down with Addison Lee the day before. I'm glad I did as my pick up was half an hour late, had that happened on the day (and of course there's no saying that it would) then I hate to think what would have happened.

Coming back we had to sit on the plane waiting for a 'parking space' then had a wait for baggage but my chauffeur was there and there was no mention of how long he'd waited, no extra charge etc if that's what you're concerned about.

Croatia is beautiful, I did the Istrian Coast trip, I hope you have as enjoyable a time as I did. Rose

I wish I had chosen to be taken down the previous night by Addi  . Arguably, I could still do it, but I'm settled with what I have.

Thanks for alerting me to the Online Check In. Someone else tipped me off about it this morning. I can't use the Croatia Airlines one until 36 hours before (I fly off at 16:40 Saturday), so will try to do it tomorrow.

This weekend is usually the busiest of the airport year, and with staff shortages, the smoother I can get through, using modern technology, the better.

Coming back should be all right as I changed Addison Lee to a 70 minute wait time.
