Hi Alan, Yes flew Air China. Read terrible reports about it so took energy sweets incase food awful. Plane clean, (toilets cleaner than most uk airlines) Leg room tight. Contact Just You before flying and request type of seat you want as no requests accepted at airport for uk to and from China flights. From London hand and freight bag weighed and strict about weight and only one carry on bag. (Handbag to go in carry on bag). After that seemed to accept freight bags under 23kg and hand bags not weighed. On return flight no problem with large carry on bag and handbag. (not weighed) Bags get very bashed but they replace damaged ones if reported to tour rep before leaving the airport. Do not have the 'porridge ' offered with breakfast unless you like a meaty stodge. (Not an oaty meal). Staff on all flights lovely and bring round water frequently. Will leave two glasses if you ask. Alcohol only offered with evening meal. Modern tv, video screens on each seat. Takes a bit of getting used to the controls but staff will help if stuck. Choice of English or Chinese programs, games
On holiday mostly Chinese food but always large choice. Some spicy some mild but you will never be hungry. All of us started using chopsticks and got 'local' but forks supplied everywhere.
Tour manager Lisa fantastic and dealt with any worries and possible problems in a professional reassuring manner. You feel really safe in her hands.
This is the most wonderful holiday ever. Enjoy.
