Hiya Karen

I was in the same situation as yourself when I went on my first Just You holiday. I chose Tuscany after friends told me it was beautiful and sure enough it was stunning. The tour guide was excellent, everybody mixed well and the hotel was a very friendly family run hotel across the road from beach. The group was mainly women and 5 men which I think is usual. The food and hospitality of the hotel was faultless. The day trips were fantastic and always somebody to pal with. You weren't left on your own very often as we all mostly sat outside the hotel after a walk after dinner and had a laugh. Highly recommended by myself. Have a great time!

I totally agree with what Gina said, when I went a few yeas ago many laughs were had on the veranda after the days out.

There is a nice village/town a short walk away which was good to wander to and stock up on drinks and nibbles for the days out, also very nice to sit and watch the world go by and eat ice cream, Italian ice cream is just amazing.

I did not go n the boat trip, I stayed behind and spent a very nice few hours on the sun roof taking in the sunshine and relaxing.

This is a nice tour as there is plenty to see but it is not frantic.

When I went the tour manager met us at the airport in Italy, but there was a JY rep to see us through booking in at the airport.

Have a great time

Hello Gina.

As a very nervous new member I have been told that the Tuscany trip is a nice 'gentle' one to start with.

This will also be my very first holiday alone [my husband died 15 months ago] and it does seem popular. The only slight doubt I have is about the hotel as I have read a few rather poor reviews.

Would welcome your comments as you have obviously enjoyed it.

I thnk I posted a review on Tuscany with details about the hotel. If you can track it down if not here goes.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, to be honest this is not the usual standard of hotel for JY.

POSITIVES!! ! it is in a very convenient location regarding village and beach, and the veranda is a great place to spend the evenings. On the negative my room was very small and to use the bathroom was a challenge due to the small size, but my room had clean sheets and towels and was kept clean, I only use the bedroom to sleep and get ready in, this is not the sort of tour to send ages alone in a room, so keep an open mind and if this is your first tour then do not judge this hotel as a basis for the majority of hotels that JY uses.

Food is fine. Am a vegetarian and they catered for me no problem.

The little bar in hotel the manager liked us to run up a tab ..it just made life easier they do basic snacks as well which was good at times then just settles up a the end. This worked well for me, but others elected to pay as they went.

Please don't worry
