Hi new to this .. have been away with this company bfe did S Africa 4yrs ago brillant but i was with a friend and we did try to book a 2 week holiday for singles only...it was fully booked so they switched us to a later date so the crowd was a mixed bunch mainly couples !!! i would not recommend it .. i was grateful for my friend being there .. we made the holiday plus i was the youngest on the trip .. hoping to try a singles trip and hope it is just for singles only. any ideas.. i am 47 .. have been known to ride an ostrich in SA ..

JY holidays are singles only so don't worry about that. We did have two ladies who were friends book as singles on the first holiday I did but other than that everyone I've seen on trips are single.

Age range in my experience is late 20's to 70's among the ladies and 40's to 70's among the Men, although a large proportion will be in the 50's and 60's age range. Ladies usually outnumber Men.

Think at 47 you will fit in fine, there will be more older but a good few younger I would expect.

Hi Bella

Not been on a JY holiday yet but have been on a few Travelsphere ones and if you're unsure then anywhere in the USA would be fab. I did the Deep South tour in October last year (a 40th treat to me) and it was unbelieveably good. My best ever holiday so far. Take the plunge I doubt you'll regret it. Katherine

I have done 5 JY trips. All the age mix which Mick describes. People usually pal up into 2s or 3s but on a good trip everyone mixes well.

I am going to book a week in Bulgaria and already booked the week in Malta in June. Really looking forward to meeting new people. I am 53 and recently widowed all my friends are couples so will be nice to meet some single happy people.

I have booked a holiday to go to Malta in June and going to book to go to Bulgaria May 16th 2011. I am 53 and recently widowed, it will be nice to meet some single people as all my friends are couples. Recently went on the discovery weekend at Hinckley Island Hotel and throughly enjoyed myself, this is why I have booked more with JY hope to see you in Bulgaria.
