I'm going to South Africa on 6th September. I went to India last year on my first JY trip and had a great time, but am still feeling a bit apprehensive about not knowing anybody this year.

I'm 37 and last year while I was one of the youngest there was a great mix of ages and we all got on very well. I'm Irish and will be travelling from Dublin, but there isn't a company like Just You in Ireland so it's worth the effort.

I'm really looking forward to the trip. If anybody wants to talk before we leave, I'd love to hear from you. See you on the 6th September!

It sounds really exciting and I hope you all have a great time. I dont have enough holiday left to go this year, but am planning (and saving) to do this trip in 2008. I would be really interested to hear from you when you return as I'm really not sure what time of year is best. I guess September is the start of spring so should be really pretty along the garden route, so await your stories.

Also I am thinking of doing the add-on, so again would be interested to know if it was worthwhile and worth the extra money.

I have booked the South African explorer for next September from 4th for 16 days. this is my first time with Just You holidays and a big step for me. I have never travelled on my own. so exited and a little apprehension

I'm just about to book the South Africa holiday departing on 4th September. I've decided I will go for it all and book the add on to Victoria Falls too. I've got a special birthday this year, so decided I should treat myself! This will be my first Just You holiday, although I have been on two Solo's holidays before. I always feel a little nervous at first, but both times have had a great bunch of people - so hopefully JY will be the same. Keep in touch.

Unfortunately all the allocation for the "add on" with the 4th Sept departure date have gone. Only places left are just for the main trip. I have therefore booked to go on the 25th September so I can do the whole thing.

Anyone else booked for the 25th Sept - apparently there are 5 of us so far??!!
