Hi, I'm booked on the May trip to Borneo and really looking forward to it. The only bit I'm a little nervous about is the walks, especially the one in the National Park. I've heard that it's really steep and tough. Was just wondering if you can tell me how far we walk and what sort of pace it's at?

I enjoy walking and can go for miles, but am a bit of a plodder. I'm scared I'm going to hold everyone up.

Cheers.

Hi Fiona

I’m going on the 9th May trip and look forward to meeting you.  I’m sure I shall also be a bit of a plodder in the heat!   I don’t think we need to worry, I’m sure the guide will take account of all levels of walking speed.

I would be interested to know if anyone is taking anti-malaria drugs.  I’ve received conflicting advice on whether they are necessary for the area we are visiting.

Cheers

Pauline

Hi Pauline

Looking forward to meeting you too. You're probably right, I'm sure they'll not leave us behind. Lol. I suppose it's a nature trek and not a route march.

I was just hoping someone at Just You might be able to say how far the walk is.

I went to a travel clinic and she said according to her info Malaria wasn't an issue where I was going and what I was doing. We'll just have to try and avoid the mosquitos as best we can. I'm stocking up with loads of repellent!

See you soon

Cheers
