Hi Caroline

I sadly am not going until Oct 2025 but having been to Thailand and Sri Lanka with Just you I recommend  cotton and linen blend clothing would be ideal in the heat. Comfortable footwear for walking and sightseeing. When visiting temples you will need to cover your legs and arms. Take a pashmina if you need to cover your head. I look forward to finding out how your trip went.

Hi,

I am joining the Nov 15 Spirit of India. I am coming friom Ottawa, Canada and arriving at 2:40 at Delhi airport.  Is there anyone else arriving a the same time and any ideas of transportation to hotel, i.e cab companies that will come in and hold sign for you?

thanks

Laurie

For clothes, stick to lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton, especially in November. India can still be warm in many areas. Carry a scarf or shawl to cover up when visiting temples. Comfortable shoes are a must for all the walking. As for essentials, bring a power adapter, sunscreen, and some meds for tummy issues street food is amazing but can surprise you.

Hello my name is Sanjeev Mansotra from India. As a first-time traveler to India in mid-November, you'll experience varied weather depending on the region. In northern areas like Delhi, it can be cool, so pack light layers, a jacket, and comfortable shoes. In southern regions like Kerala, the weather is warmer, so lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal. For cultural respect, wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees when visiting temples or rural areas. Essentials to pack include sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, and comfortable walking shoes. Carry a reusable water bottle and any medications you may need.

I have been advised by a few people who have been before that it can get a bit chilly in the evnings in November so I thought i would pack a small coat/jacket
