Hi Sue,

I did this trip in October 2022. There is a review on the review page but if there are any specific questions then feel free to ask.

As regards weather this was generally good, being a month later than me you will be further into the SA spring/summer.

We were due to do the Panorama route on the way to Kruger but the weather was not so good that day so we juggled things to do this afterwards when it was much better. Our days in Kruger were a bit overcast and you are in an open top vehicle. I needed a jacket when on the move as it was quite breezy in an open top vehicle but at stops no jacket was needed.

Hi Sue,

Ian has written a fantastic review regarding Oct 2022 trip.

In the February 2023 we were 27  travellers and the tour director.  Unfortunately one traveller couldn't make it last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.

February is normally summer in SA- we were in 30 plus C temperatures most places and one day it was about 37/38° c in one town. We experienced rain on and off In Kruger .

One disappointment was heavy fog when we were at table Mountain as we went very early in the morning so no visibility at all.

Kruger was a great experience  but Safari wise my opinion is no place can beat Masai Mara (Kenya) . I didn't do the optional Kruger safari, however, there was  half day and full day optional excursions (One  group saw a lion).

Being a vegetarian , in some places I  didnt have a choice .

We also visited Soweto on the last day and it was lovely place to visit. Our tour guide at Soweto was the best .

People were very friendly in SA.

I loved every minute in SA. I am already planning to go back to Cape Town next year independently.

If you have any further questions please do ask.

I would say book this trip, you will never regret it!

Hi Ali,

Yes I have been on a few JY tours all on Europe and have been enjoyable.

Still deciding about booking, good to know there is at least two others booked on this tour, as not done a long haul tour before so a bit nervous.

Where are you travelling from?

   Hi All,

Would be good if anyone else is booked on the South Africa November tour, not done Long Haul before so a bit nervous booking this tour would be good if I knew others are       going and possibly meet at the airport?
