Good morning all,

For those eagle-eyed community members among you, you may have spotted that based on the success of our first trip to Wengen this year, Just You has launched a few more ski holidays for 2018. As our ski holiday to Bulgaria is aimed at people who have never skied before, we thought we'd think about 'firsts' and ask....What have you done for the first time recently?

We look forward, as always, to reading your comments.

Kindest regards

Julia

This is actually an intention! I have, over the years used most forms of transport but one has, so far, eluded me. I live on the Isle of Wight which, as the name suggests, is an island and there are various options for crossing the Solent. In the absence of a tunnel or a bridge (local politics about which I will not be drawn into) this involves a sea crossing either by fast cat, car ferry or......................hovercraft.

In all the years I have lived here I have never got round to useing the hovercraft (Ryde to Southsea) so as a forthcoming birthday indulgence to myself I intend to treat myself to a return day trip.

Which, I guess, only goes to prove that you do not always have to travel to the ends of the earth for a new travel adventure!

Hi Julia

This is quite an easy one for me

I went on the Zip wire for the very first time in Costa Rica back in March

I have to admit I was absolutely petrified having never done such a thing, I didn't know where to put my feet I didn't know what to hold on to and absolutely visioned stopping midway and somehow having to be rescued, heaven knows how I thought, however all went well and the staff were very reassuring and would come over with you if you froze and it was only after doing the first set of lines did I realise there were 13 of them, yelp! but I am so glad I did it, actually I thought some of the walks between lines were more gruelling

so that's my first for this year

all the best

Dave

Not in the past but looking forward to a trip on the 'Pod', an automatic transfer between the Thistle Hotel and Heathrow Terminal 5.  Staying at the Thistle the night before JY departure to Switzerland on the 17th July.

Hi All

What I have done for the first time recently is go on two holidays paying a single supplement so mixing with couples, friends and a few singles.

Not an adrenaline junkie so have wimped out of zip wiring!

Regards

Sylvia

Hello All,

In the past 3 months I have seen Rick Astley, Simple Minds and Gryphon, bands /singers that I have loved for over 30 years, all for the first time 🙂

As for holidays- October will see me in Singapore and New Zealand for the first time. 4 months yesterday 😃 On Pinterest looking up some great places to see, one which is the triple hotel overlooking the Marina in Singapore- they have an infinity pool on the roof- scary or what :exclamation: Have visited Asia when I went to Jordan, so this will be another Continent of Australasia. Must remember to pay the bill next month 😛

Hi

My first was micro light in Zambia and the Zip Wire in Costa Rica. I am finding that I am getting a bit braver as I am getting older!
