Hi Alicia, after my experience in Iceland I certainly wouldn't be against a winter wonderland tour to somewhere scenic with mountains and water - with lots of fun activities - but no skiing for me! The activities you suggest sound great and I like Elaine's suggestions too. I've been to Slovenia but not to that part - I did a day trip through the Julian Alps in the summertime and it was spectacular. As was the wine tasting!!

Best wishes,

Bob

Wow! I never knew the company was so big - I like the way the different departments are organised, it makes good sense! Keep up the great work everyone - you'll never please everyone but I know from personal experience how hard you all try!

Cheers,

Bob

Love mountains - used to ski - certainly have more padding now for hard landings but not so sure about the Bend ze Knees requirement! and as for getting up again????? A winter snow holiday in the mountains would be great as long as the hotel is well positioned and has plenty of facilities (e.g. spa, pool, restaurant, bar, social areas, easy access to town) and there are other opportunities to get out and about other than skiing - for example walking, shopping!, tobogganing, sleigh rides, husky rides, skating, cable car rides to cozy shacks to sip mulled wine and enjoy watching the skiers whilst admiring the views - nearly booked for Lake Louise in winter to do a snow shoe walk on the frozen lake! Like sallyc (Hi Sally - looking forward to hearing about your Namibia adventures and seeing the photos) I need another reason to break out the Canadian thermals!

Hi Bosuncat

We corresponded about Slovenia before - I agree Slovenia could be a distinct possibility for a snowy winter break. Liked Lake Bled Christmas 2013 - with no snow until we took the cable car up to Vogel - wonderful. Last Christmas they had plenty of snow! In fact I am going back to Lake Bled this summer - not with JY though - my chosen holiday has an included excursion to see the Lippizaners at Lipica - hurrah!

Alicia

Welcome! Firstly - can't believe you mentioned fondues! Takes me back to the late 70s/early 80s in Switzerland and the French/Italian Alps! Those were the days! ( I was very young  …..)

I know we all have slightly different requirements - just one of my thoughts is the length of long haul holidays - I know some people have to fit in with annual leave, but when travelling so far the longer the holiday the better for me! Perhaps this could be considered with either different itineraries on different dates and/or more and longer "add ons" to make the most of the long flights?

That's a good idea Julia, I think other people should get recognition, after all, we all get a great deal of enjoyment out of all their hard work, including yourself of course!

Hi Alicia

A belated welcome from me. I agree with Kedi in that it would be nice for the long haul holidays to be a bit longer. As it is, 2 days are spent getting there and back. Adding a couple more days would mean there is some time to relax instead of being on the go all the time.

Like others I am all for longer tours, when I went to NZ by the time we stopped in HKG I think it was day 5 we landed in NZ..

I would like the amount of day to reflect the days we are there, as by the time you cut out travelling it shaves off at least 2 days.

I know it will cost more, but while I have paid a fair price a bit more money to me would make it even more worth the expense.

Hi

Like Cindy, I too would not mind paying more for a long haul trip if it was extended by a few days as there is more time to enjoy the trip without feeling that you may have to return again to see the bits you had to miss out the first time around or did not have enough time.

Hi I think more add-ons are the way to go! Some people, especially those who work, cannot take more than two weeks holiday at a time and of course if the holidays are longer, then inevitably they will be more expensive and that obviously might count them out for some people whose budget has been stretched to breaking point! In theory I'd be in favour of longer long haul tours if the price can be kept down and if the extra days include more "must see" sights - but if they were extra "filler" or relaxation days then I would not be in favour. If there were more add-ons to tours, people could decide whether the extra destination was worth splashing out on or not.

Cheers,

Bob

Thank you all for the best wishes, I'm already enjoying the feed back and notes from you all. Great !

Re winter holidays it's good to hear your ideas and feedback , over the next few months we will be looking at the opportunities and ideas that we have received. Slovenia is definitely an area we would like to look into. I know the area well and it has a wealth of exciting things to do both in winter and summer.

School holidays are always in our mind and again we look at ways of extending our popular tours to other dates, it's definately on our radar, so again I shall keep you updated.

Spring is here at last , we have extra daylight and all of our minds now turn to summer. Here at Just You we are looking forward to completing our programme for 2016 and enjoying the feedback from all of our tours that are running this year.
