I refer to Mick W and holiday photos.

When I brought this up in ‘Ask the Editor’ in February, Ben said that ‘ It was a feature that we had on the forum up until about 6 months ago when we suffered a fault with the forum, unfortunately the functionality was never reintroduced. It is on our 'to do' list but there always seems to be something which causes it to be knocked down the list, very frustrating I know. We do have Facebook pages where you can upload as many photos as you wish and then share the link to our page with fellow travellers.’

I must say I am not a fan of Facebook. IT please try and get the feature up and running again with a blank space for us to insert the tour name and then a function to upload photos (say a max of 10). It can only be beneficial to selling more tours (my commission is 10%!)

Simples as they say!!!!

Hi Sussex Downs, I agree it would be great to see photos people have taken on tours without having to look at Facebook or Flickr or whatever. Hope it gets sorted!

Cheers,

Bob

It's funny how the JY and Travelsphere Facebook pages haven't taken off - I reckon FB has had its day and will slowly fade away. A photos tab on the tour pages of the website would be great and selected reviews could also be added. I don't think much of JY's "news and features" articles - they are basically a rehash of the itinerary. More details of excursions and especially of the add-ons are the way to go!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Julia

Just a thought, (to be shared?) but is a Just You forum the right place for so many Canadian pharmacy adverts?

Hi Pauline, you've certainly done the right thing. They have now disappeared.

All the best,

Hi Pauline, Sylvia and Cindy who also mentioned it

Thank-you for flagging this - it was due to the new forum being set up with an un-ticked box (Ben wouldn't have made that mistake). This meant that anyone was able to post and it was automatically published without being moderated and had you not have reported it, it's unlikely we would have seen them straight away.

The number that made it on to the site is only a small amount of what had come in to the moderation queue for the rest of the forum. This is what we try to keep off the site by having everything moderated and it usually works.... when new forums aren't left to me to set up 🙂

Thanks again,

Julia

Hey Julia don't beat yourself up. A lot of fun was had by JY folk posting cos they didn't have to wait to be "moderated" ! I love this forum as we all feel like friends to me :))

Kind regards

Hi Julia,

I have just been reading reviews of where I might go next year and this occurred to me.

Some of the reviews mention the length of the tours, start time, end time, etc.

Would it be possible to include in the "what's included" and "optional excursions" descriptions the approximate start and end times? I have just decided against one tour due to an excursion start time of 6.00 a.m. I know it can be skipped, but I wouldn't want to be the only one to opt out.

I would never be it off by an early start as some of these can be the most exciting adventures and sights...

My sentiments entirely!! Having just returned from China we had early morning alarm calls 6 and 6:30am most mornings but you appreciated them when you had finished sightseeing the attractions and all the large number of people that were just beginning their visits. You only do these things once and can always catch up on sleep on returning home!! PaulineD

Hi,

For those of you able to do early morning starts, I envy you. I have to allow at least an hour in the morning before I can move well enough to do anything more than make a cuppa.

When I was away in Florida recently I suffered really badly with jet lag, so I was always awake well before the alarm went off... So I am always awake for an early morning start. I try and see and do as much as I can as I might not be passing that way again.

Hi Julia

I have thought it odd that when booking on line after the departure point the next page asks how many are travelling, with the option of 0 or 1. Why not have 1 set automatically instead of having to select it?
