Hi Julia,

I suspect Jaya might have used up all her holiday entitlement by this stage!!  Just out of interest, how many are now booked on the Chile tour for November, plus the numbers for the main tour including Easter Island and also how many new places are being made available?  I hope the group won't be too big!

This is fantastic news but since I am going to Kenya in September, not sure if taking more time off in November will go down well.  I do have plenty of entitlement for this year due to time off in lieu which I have accrued.  I will have to think seriously about this.  Julia, does the extra spaces also include add-on?

Doubt very much if your restraining order will keep me away! I am sure by the time I am able to work out whether or not I can take time off in November, all 4 places would have gone. Will just have to wait and see after my Costa Rica holiday.

I'm loving the beautiful picture of Ahu Tongariki on Easter Island on the home page! It brings back such happy memories.

I've been talking to James G-P in Rapa Nui over the last few days, planning my itinerary for January. I mentioned to him that you will be heading his way soon (I guessed 27th November from your tour details) and told him that you might be interested in doing his sunrise tour, and maybe others depending on your included excursions and time available. (Check out the Easter Island Spirit website for details.)

I've given him your names and told him to keep an eye out for an e-mail from you (I can't promise 'mates rates' but if all three of you do the tour it'll be much cheaper - probably a saving of about $60 per head). I wouldn't leave it too long to decide, he's got several guides in his team but they do book up quite quickly. I've also told him you are all BIG photographers, i.e. not 'point and shoot' jockeys like me...!

I hope you are all keeping well - I've only got a month to go until Colditz and Zagan now so busy catching up on my WWII reading!

Mildred/Julia, now that the first Chile tour is actually underway at present, could I ask if there is a sunrise visit on our itinerary for Easter Island?  If not, is it available as an optional extra or is there time to do it by ourselves, given our itinerary?  There's no point in us exploring this option independently if it's already going to be on offer by JY or if there isn't time for us to do it ourselves!

This response makes no sense at all!  There is an Easter Island extension on the Chile tour already and the first tour is there as I type.  I and many others from the forum are booked on the October and November departures to Chile, including the Easter Island add-on.  My question was, will there be a sunrise trip booked while we are there, to see the moai in a particularly scenic location?  Your last response has had me bewildered and somewhat concerned!!

I am also a very keen photographer, and would be most grateful if you could add my name onto the list for James G-P, as it appears we don't have confirmation of exactly what the "excursion" is going to be on Easter Island!
