Hi Alex

I seem to remember ,like Bob, taking my suitcase to the hallway of the station. Porters dealt with it from there.

This is a really great trip and I am looking forward to seeing another part of India soon.

Hi Alex,

As with all JY tours there was plenty of time to take photos - I took hundreds! I'm old fashioned in that I put them all up on the computer then print the best ones out and put them in an album! It's great to look back at fantastic holiday memories.

Regarding the trains, as far as I remember, we collected our cases from the coach and wheeled them onto the platform. Then when they were all lined up, they were taken away and stored on the train and we collected them again at our destination. However, it was 3 1/2 years ago and I've been on a lot of holidays since, so the memory might be a little rusty!

The hotels on this holiday were beautiful, mainly five star as far as I remember. The lodge at Ranthambore was more basic, as lodges usually are but it was still absolutely fine. I always take Trip Advisor with a pinch of salt whether the reviews are good or bad!!

Best wishes,

Bob

Thanks again BOB ( you should get commission)

I have a philosophy, If I cant lift my case easily myself, It does not go in the case.

So from your memory of the train, I should be fine and dandy.

Yes the Hotels do all look good, don't they. Ranthambore looks like it has some lovely character. Which I am so looking forward too.

So glad the time is there for Photos, I take hundreds and hundreds, like you, pick the best to print, I produce a trip book each time I travel Photos, tickets etc .

I actual save the SD cards and label them from each trip.

( eeeek I'm sounding like a slide show geek.....help.)

Spk soon

Lesley.

So sorry, I've only just seen your message , please forgive my late reply to you, thank you for the info.

So a my lightweight ( but sturdy) four wheeled suitcase will be just fine and dandy.

I had a comical image in my head, trying to push through crowd, apologising for being hit and pumped by others and dragging my bag trying to get on a train. Reality tells me, this could not be the case or people would complain... Because we all know the general populous love to complain.

Hi Alex

All travel aspects of this tour are very well organised and there were no hassles at all.

I hope the Kerala tour is as well organised !

Hi Lesley

I am sure the Kerala tour too will be well organised. I doubt whether you will encounter the same amount of crowds in Kerala - well fingers crossed!
