Hi Amy

A quick question re the forthcoming announcement of the Galapagos trip (do you have an ETA yet? I note that TS already have two itineraries on their site)

A friend mentioned that they know of someone who is on a JY waiting list for this trip - I wasn't aware there was one and, as I'm sure the demand will be high, wouldn't mind being put on it myself as I don't want to miss out. Could you advise?

Also whilst writing, I can confirm that I've now received my questionnaire for the 13 Sept National Parks trip but I haven't received the September mini-brochure or the Inspirations magazine. Could you check to make sure I haven't fallen off the mailing list, please and arrange for these to be sent?

Many thanks

Mandy

Hi AELB,

We have no further information on the JY Galapagos trip other than what we have displayed in our Inspirations brochure.

I can tell you that there is no actual waitlist for this trip. However, I can arrange for someone to give you a call as soon as we have more information?

I have requested that the September mini-brochure and the Inspirations magazine be sent to you.

Kindest Regards,

Amy

Hello Amy

I see that Galapagos has now launched on the website for March and November 2019. My question is, why does it include a map of Sri Lanka?

Regards

Sylvia

Hi

The details are up on the website now - you will need to search with 2019 dates.

Looks amazing, added to my wishlist. Hopefully this will become popular, as I need to start saving.

Hi Chris,

I heard from a friend earlier that five people are already booked on the March 2019 date!

Cheers,

Thanks Amy.  It might be correct now, but last night and first thing this morning it was showing a map of Sri Lanka!  I'm booked for March and I believe four others are too, so no worries.

Hi Amy and Sylvia,

Last night the Galapagos page was indeed showing a map and pictures of Sri Lanka!  I tried to send the link of the holiday to friends and it sent the Sri Lanka link instead!  I notice that was corrected this morning, so all is well.

All the best,

Bob

Hi

This looks like a very interesting & truly memorable holiday. No doubt another to put on my shortlist, just wish I could win the lottery & give up work!

Taffy.

Can you tell me have many have booked on the Galapagos holiday in March 2019 ? Also what is the maximum number of people that can be taken ? I am still considering whether to book .I see that snorkelling is included on some days but as I do not swim I am wondering to what extent I shall miss out on the sealife spotting.

Jaya the previous post was by PeterG. Will it be too confusing if I (Peter G) were to book as well.

Good Morning Peter,

I can tell you that 11 travellers are booked onto the 11 March 2019 Natural Wonders of Ecuador and the Galapagos tour. 1 traveller is male and 10 travellers are female. The age ranges between late 40s - early 70s.

The maximum number of travellers on this tour is 15.

There will be 1 day for snorkelling.

Kind Regards,

Amy

I have not booked on this trip, but went to the Galapagos with another company a few years ago. I am not a good swimmer and was going to have a try at snorkelling off the beach rather than a dinghy as some did. Ended up just having a fabulous walk along the beach and didn't feel that I missed out as there is so much wildlife to see.

Hello Peter G

I'm no water baby so will probably decline the snorkelling. If you do book I'll accompany you on the shore or wherever!

Hi Sylvia

I'm the other PeterG (and booked on the trip), and it is likely that I won't be snorkelling as with the sun overhead it would probably only take 10 minutes for me to get my back sunburnt while looking down at the fish - I've been there once and it's not an experience I wish to repeat.

Sylvia,Peter,Jaya I tried to book for March 2019 but the trip has now sold out. The remaining places soon went. I am considering whether to book for May 2019 and am doing some research to see if that is a good time to go. It appears that March is in the breeding season.

I am going to Central America in February .I see someone has described this as the worst holiday and needs reorganising!

I recommend wearing a tshirt when snorkelling. As Peter says, you can get sunburnt very quickly. I went to the Galapagos with another company a few years ago and can say that the snorkelling was better than anywhere else in the world - including the Belize and Great Barrier Reefs.

Jaya,Sylvia,Peter. My previous post has not appeared but when I tried to book for the March 2019 date I was told that it was sold out but a date was available in May 2019. Today the March 2019 date is showing 1 place available and so I phoned to book but was told that date has sold out. I am now on the waiting list for March 2019 but have actually booked for May 2019 which was showing on line yesterday but not today. Very confusing.
