Hi Rose,

The school that you will visit is in Angkor Ban.

You don't have to take anything, it is entirely your choice as to whether or not you would like to make a contribution to the school. We contacted our overseas team to see what items are best to take. They have advised that for now, they are covered with pens and notepads. The school was recently donated a library, so they are looking to add English children's books to the shelves (up to age 12). I've also been advised that you'll meet one class, mixed age around 30 children.

As for an update on numbers - there are currently 13 travellers booked on this tour, 1 man and 12 women.

Doing a count back from your departure date, we'll be sending you information in the next few weeks, feel free to ask us any additional questions that you have in the meantime.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Rose. I will probably get a lift to Heathrow as Iive near Winchester and its barely an hours drive. I'm a seasoned longhaul traveller and usually go cattle class !! I won't be able to apply for my visa until the end of September as I am going to Mallorca with friends. Luckily we fly from Southampton airport, its so convenient..

Hi Lesley

I hope you enjoy Mallorca and I look forward to meeting up with you and our fellow travellers at Heathrow on 8th.

I've no doubt I won't be able to afford to upgrade on any future long haul flights I may take but as this is my 60th birthday year (and my first long haul) I'm treating myself! I'm using it as an excuse for all sorts of things UserPostedImage

Best wishes

Hello Rose, well Im back from a lovely holiday in Mallorca and now looking forward to Cambodia etc. I will have to get my visa when I enter the country as JY advised me that it was cutting it a bit fine to apply now. My daughter did it last year and said it didnt take long but I will need to take 2 photos. I think our flight is mid morning so I may book into a hotel the night before as the M3 will be murder early morning !

Hello again Lesley

Good to hear you had a lovely holiday in Mallorca. Not long now until our Mekong trip.

My visa application didn't take long, but it's probably as well not to risk sending your passport off now just in case! Yes we did need 2 photos.  You are probably aware there's no visa for Vietnam, a letter was apparently sent to tell us this but I never received it. Julia kindly sent me a copy by email a couple of weeks ago, by which time I'd completed and sent off the application form that JY had sent me! But it's all sorted now.

Assuming nothing changes our flight is at 10.55 so I'll see you in the lounge at Heathrow if not before.

Best wishes

Rose

Hi Rose, I have decided to book the Premier Inn after all as I dont want to battle through the early morning traffic to Heathrow , hope to see you there.

Best wishes, Lesley
