Hi hettiab,

So first of all the numbers - there are currently 15 travellers booked on this date. WIth ages from mid-40s through to mid-70s.

Now on to the tour itself - I can tell you that I've been to the Plitvice Lakes - I went in October 2013 on this same tour. I'm not going to lie, it is a long journey - but personally, I found it to be 100% worth it. The colours of the water (those greens and various shades of aqua you see in the photos) and the stunning waterfalls were so beautiful and despite being with 28 other travellers, there were times walking around, where I felt I was the only person there - it was so peaceful!

The itinerary has changed slightly since I took this trip but if you have any questions about this tour, please let me know.

Kindest regards,

Julia

P.S. I know a few of our community members have also taken this tour - hopefully they'll share their thoughts of the trip.

I did this trip last year. I agree with Julia the lakes visit is one of many highlights of the holiday. An added bonus would be if you had Vladka as your tour manager.

Hi hettiab.

I've been on the Istrian Coast tour twice (once when the hotel was in Rabac, and since at the hotel at Lovran, a couple of years ago).

It's a really nice tour, and I would really recommend it.  The hotel is fairly recently refurbished, and I would recommend asking (if you do book) for a seaview room.  I liked the hotel, the staff are friendly on the whole, and I found the food satisfactory, albeit it a little repetitive at times.

As for the excursions?  I didn't go to Plitvice Lakes this last time, but I went many years ago and Julia is so right.  It's totally awesome, but with a lot of walking.  Sensible shoes are definitely needed!

I am more than happy to answer any more questions you may have. 🙂

Thankyou for all the information . The lakes and the truffle tasting really appeal to me as ive never tried them ... Apparently they grow underground ?! I think I do remember seeing the old intinary and we got a chance to visit the stud farm which I really would have loved to have done as I am an equine girl.  Does anyone know what the temperature will be like late September time? I never have a clue what to wear when I go away and always end up packing too much. For those " just incase moments " haha ☺️  ... I was also going to ask ... How do you change your profile picture on here as mine is just blank right now . Thanks 🙂

Hi again.  I didn't go on the truffle tasting, but don't dogs or pigs dig them up?  It's such a shame that the Stud Farm is no longer done.  Again I went many years ago and it was great to see all the horses.  As for temperatures?  I went middle of September and it is really best to pack for all eventualities.  It was very humid when we went to Pula etc, but we had a lot of rain the same night, and after that it was bright and sunny.  Certainly warm enough to go for a paddle when I went on the boat trip, which comes highly recommended by the way.  :)

Sorry I can't help you on the profile pic.  I am sure that Mildred, the Moderator will be able to.
