I am going on the Christmas in Andalucia tour (Tour Ref: SXSA). What clothes would you recommend, and also would I need walking boots, or would a stout pair of shoes suffice.

Good Afternoon Ian,

I hope you are having a good day so far.

In the winter months from mid November to the end of March it can be very cold, especially inland, and even in Andalucia. For Christmas tours to Spain you should take plenty of warm clothing.

As Spain is such a large country with such varying temperatures it is best to check weather forecasts yourself just prior to travel. Information is readily available on the internet.

Comfortable shoes are a must as there can be a lot of walking involved on some excursions.

Kind Regards,

Mildred

Hi Ian

I did this tour Christmas 2014 and the weather was gorgeous but I have to agree with Mildred because Mijas is high up, a fleece is recommended.  It can also be cold in Rondo.  Walking boots are not required just comfortable shoes - I wore crocs the whole time.  Just watch out in the mornings as the pavements are washed overnight and can be slippery when you are going to the coach.

Have a great time - Mijas is fabulous and if it appeals do the chocolate factory.  Don't miss the nativity scene and the donkey ride and the tapas and the leather goods - I could go on and on.

Best wishes
