I booked this holiday some time ago after receiving a flyer. I see that it has now appeared on the website and I have a query. The hotel in Montreal is listed as the Hotel Faubourg, Montreal, whereas one of the accompanying photos shows the entrance of the Holiday Inn and the description calls it the Holiday Inn Express Centre Ville.

Are they one and the same hotel? In view of recent comments on the hotel in Montreal (not specified) about the breakfasts and nowhere to have dinner, I'm a bit concerned. Can you put my mind at rest, Monty?

Hi Ann,

The hotel has recently changed it’s name to the Hotel Faubourg from the Holiday Inn Express Montreal - so the images are correct. Thank you for alerting us though, we will have this section cleared up on the website as soon as possible.

Do not worry yourself about finding somewhere to have dinner, your tour manager will be happy to help if you are feeling stuck. In fact, your tour manager is there to help so utilise them as much as possible, so you can get the absolute most out of your holiday.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,

Monty

Many thanks for this, Monty. I can now forget about it for a few months (8 to be precise!).

Having stayed at this hotel, I can confirm there are a variety of restaurants accessible from the hotel, but at a fifteen to twenty minute walk away, through very poorly lit back streets.

I've just checked out the Hotel F on TripAdvisor (not something I do often, I hasten to add) and note that, in response to various grumbles, the manager says that the hotel is being refurbished later this year/early in 2016 so we may get the benefit.
