Can I please have some answers to the following it would be most helpful in deciding to do this trip:-

Can I take my prescribed blood pressure tablets with me?

Do I require any vaccinations

What electrical plugs do they use.

Hi Traveller26,

If you are planning to carry medication into the country, you will need to check with your embassy in advance. Even some common, over-the-counter medicines that are freely available elsewhere in the world are prohibited in the UAE. There are penalties that are severe - you could go to prison if you’re caught!

With regards to vaccinations, we strongly recommend that you consult with your General Practitioner or Practice Nurse who will assess your particular health risks before recommending vaccines. This is also a good opportunity to discuss important travel health issues including safe food and water, accidents and insect bites. Many of the problems experienced by travellers cannot be prevented by vaccinations and other preventive measures need to be taken.

Square three-pin plugs are used in Dubai, which are exactly the same as here in the UK.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Kindest Regards,

Monty
