I am a little concerned that no details are given for travelling times on excursions or transfer from airports.

I am not a good coach traveller and so need to know how long these trips are before booking. I did phone and no one could even tell me the transfer time from airport to hotel. I am looking at the Croatia/Slovenia holiday.

2.5 – 3 Hour transfer from airport to coach.

Day 2

30 Mins in total of coach travel

Day 3

1.5 Hours in total

Day 4

2 Hours in total

Day 5

40 Mins in total

Day 6

2.5 Hours in total

Day 7

Free day unless take the optional winery trip, don’t have confirmed timings I am afraid for this.

Day 8

2.5 – 3 Hour transfer from hotel to airport.

Kindest regards,

Julia

The airport transfers are the worst part if you ar flying into Zagreb. When I did this holiday last year it was just over 3 hour to the Bled hotel on arrival and on day 8 from the coast to the airport over 4 hours on day 8.

The other long transfer was obviously when changing hotels but we had a lovely stop in the Slovenia capital Ljubliana.

Don't let the transfers put you off, its a really nice holiday.

I was on the same holiday as Mick and agree about the long transfer times. Lovely holiday and don't let the airport transfers put you off doing it.

We are flying in to Rijeka not Zagreb, thank goodness! I am hoping I shall still be under the influence of my travel sickness tablets for the transfer to the hotel from the airport.

I do love Croatia, this will be my 3rd trip. I am slowly working my way around it and am very keen to see these places too!

The distance from Rijeka airport to Lovran is 50km so why is the transfer time so long? The local bus only takes 45 minutes. Am I missing something?

My mistake Just J,

When you said Croatia/Slovenia - I thought you were talking about the Slovenia - mountains to the coast tour.

For the Croatias Istrian Coast tour please see the following:

Day 1 and day 8

approx. driving time from/to Zagreb airport is 2,00hrs + bathroom break

Day 2 Istria -

Departs at 08,30am and is a full day, about 4 hours on the coach in total travelling between Pula and Rovinj

Day 3 - Lovran and Mošćenice

Approx 1hour 30 minutes on the coach

Day 4 - Plitvice National park

Approx 8hs on the coach

Day 5 - Postojna and Predjama castle (exact times depend on season and entrance times scheduled)

Approx 4hrs 30 minutes on the coach

Day 6 - Boat trip to Krk and Cres (approx. as it depends on season, weather and free time for swimming if weather permits)

Approx 3 hrs on the coach

Day 7 - Motovun

Approx 2 hours on the coach

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thanks Julia. I have checked with your telephone staff and we are flying in to Rijeka and not Zagreb. Unfortunately I have had to cancel the Plitivice Lakes trip as 4 hours each way is not possible for me. I initially searched online and it indicated about 2.5 hours, which I could have just about managed. I do wish this information was on the website to save all this emailing back and forth.
