I've read in the news that Italian air controllers are on strike today, Saturday 6 sept. Have you heard of any other strikes to happen later in the week? Several flights were cancelled from Manchester and Liverpool to Italy. I'm due to fly out on Thursday!

We were affected by the strike on Saturday 6 September whilst returning from Calabria and the flight was delayed by 2 hours. It was a good job I had already decided to stay the night at the Premier Inn otherwise I would have been stranded at Gatwick!! I did not get to the hotel till 2.00 a.m. on Sunday morning so it was certainly a very very long day. Glad it happened on the return journey.
