I'm booked on the Berlin city break and at the moment it appears there are only 7 of us booked on the trip so far. When I telephoned JY today to enquire about the possibility of this trip being cancelled if there wasn't enough interest, I was told I'd be kept informed.

That's all very well, but how close to departure will JY make a decision about whether or not holidays go ahead?

This may not be a big deal to JY but it's the first trip I've booked, so it is important to me.

Thanks

Jane

Hi Jane,

Normally a decision is made before your final payment is due. I have just spoken to the team that ultimately make the decision about whether or not a tour will operate and have been told that whilst the tour has not yet been given the green light, we have kept flight seats (which are usually returned at this point if they remain unsold) and conversations are generally very positive. We have found with the city breaks, travellers are booking later than when booking one of our longer tours. For example the May date for this trip, had relatively low numbers at the 12 week mark, but is now operating with 25 travellers.

Please rest assured that we do not make the decision to cancel a tour lightly, and we endeavour to operate as many of our trips as possible.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi

I am going on the June trip to Berlin and trying to do a bit of research before I go. It seems that one of the 'Things to See' is the Reichstag building and it does require that you book in advance.

I can do this on line, but can you tell me please if this is included in the tour or whether I should go ahead and book it independently?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Jane

Hi Jane,

You'll see the Reichstag as part of the coach tour on day 2 but you won't go inside or up to the dome to fully appreciate it. I understand that there is free time in the afternoon of you would like to book in advance, alternatively there are places where you can buy tickets right outside the Reichstag.

Kindest regards,

Julia
