Hi Julia,

I know this is very early days yet, but can you tell me if anyone has booked this tour for either of the 2 February dates next year? If so, can you tell me the approximate ages and male/female ratio. Maybe nobody has booked yet as it is still 7 months away!

Thank you.

Jan

Hi Jan, I did this tour last year and had an amazing time! It was exhausting and overwhelming but I am so glad I went! Highlights for me were seeing a tiger (very close up) in Ranthambore, the incredible Taj Mahal (which looks even better than I thought it would), the Amber Fort at Jaipur and the Ganges at Varanasi. Feb would be a very good time to visit (I went in March, it was hot but perfect weather). Hope you book and have a brilliant time!

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks Julia for the information.

Hi Bob, I have wanted to do this trip for a long time. I keep looking at other holidays which are nearer and easier, but in my heart I have always wanted to go to India. I am the world's greatest ditherer but have decided life is too short for dithering, I am going to book this week!! 🙂

Hi Bob

I am thinking of doing this tour as it was one place I have always wanted to see.

The problem is I am not keen on Indian food and I would like to know if the hotels used offer both Indian and western food in the restaurants for our evening meal. I am not bothered about lunch as I will eat Indian food but I wouldn't want it all the time. When I went to China it was all Chinese food hence the question.

Thanks

Eve

Hi Eve, I'm afraid it was Indian food pretty much all the way! At breakfast you could have some western-style food but otherwise the food was Indian. I'm not a great fan of Indian food at all, but it wasn't too bad as the meals were buffet style, so I used to take a little of most things and then go back for more of whichever dishes I liked (in my case, the non-spicy ones!). Sometimes I used to wait until most in our group had filled their plates and ask them which dishes were non-spicy/most tasty! I enjoyed some of the food and often ate lightly (and went veggie a lot of the time). I had an upset stomach for a couple of days (one bad day) but it didn't stop me from enjoying the tour. Most places serve veggie fried rice and I ate that a fair amount! But don't let the food put you off going as it was very good on the whole. I haven't eaten Indian since though!!

Any more info you need don't hesitate to ask!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Eve

Did this trip last year. Some of the hotels did offer alternatives to Indian dishes. I found I could cope with the meals and surprisingly did not have any upsets!

This is a great trip. My advice is go ahead and book.
