I am glad this question has been asked as I am on the San Francisco to Vancouver tour with Travelsphere in September and was not too sure which operator to use. Having been to San Francisco before, I shall book one of the afternoon tours as the weather is usually better in the afternoon ie often low cloud in the mornings so the Golden Gate Bridge is partly hidden.
