So - I've booked to go to Andalucia on 7th May. I'm very excited and not a little nervous of this, my first tour solo.

Hi,

Lovely to read of all the great adventures you have enjoyed. I find myself in the position of being single and all my friends have partners and children which limits their opportunities to travel hence I am considering booking with this company. May I please ask are the travelers of a varied age range? I am in my 40's.

With my sincere thanks

Welcome Julie

The core age range is 55-70 with younger and older, do not let the age question worry you.

Every body mixes in really well, I have been out walked by 75 year olds so I worry about health more than age!..

If you have a tour in mind you can ask on the editors board and Julie can give you m/f ratio and age range! That might help you.

I have my 11 tour soon with JY so any questions just ask

Hello Julie

I did this tour a while back, nice tour not to hectic. Any questions just ask. I am sure I left a review so have a look.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I want to explore parts of the world my friends aren't too interested in, and so far the Istanbul and Dubai trips have caught my eye... I look forward to reading more of the threads about the different trips.

I saw your post and wondered the same thing about ages. I'm also single and many of my friends are married/having children. I may be one of the youngest on the trips, but don't think I'll mind!

Hi Alcurran

Istanbul is really a great place to visit. I did Istanbul, Troy and Ephesus trip last October and would love to go back to Istanbul so I can spend more time visiting all the lovely places there are to see. Have you booked your first trip yet?

Hi, I'm a new member & contemplating booking a holiday but I'm very nervous of travelling on my own as I've never done it before, maybe just need some reassurance

Hi

Just joined JY & booked my first holiday to St Lucia for November - thought I'd have an easy introduction to single travel. Looking forward to the holiday but a little nervous I have travelled worldwide for work & pleasure but rarely on my own - looking forward to making some new friends.

This is my first time with JY, I am booked to go to Uzbekistan in May, so excited twinned with apprehension! Especially liked the 'tips' posting, this was very useful. If anyone travelling there wants to get in touch, please do.

Hello everyone my name is Doug ,have just joined Just You.

Have been widowed for two years now and am just feeling my feet ,so will not attempt a holiday just yet but would like to here from other newbies on what it's like and what would be a good starting holiday for me to take.

I'm sure I will not be the first to ask these questions so having looked at other people's posts it is assuring to know how people feel about that first time away.

So guess I will digest all your answers and let's see how it pans out.

Hi,

I am new to just you I was just looking at the site and found it had a forum so here I am posting for some single traveller advice really.

Basically I have travelled on my own before and feel comfortable doing so but I just wanted to try out a holiday with fellow single travellers that are around my age. I am 30 in a few days time and have booked time off work for a holiday and thought I would try a Singles holiday of some sort.

I cam across this site when I searched for single traveller holidays and wanted to know what other people thought of this site or recommend somewhere else??

The sort of holiday I would be looking for is somewhere to explore and have fun, im not one for just lying on a beach all day i find that incredibly boring!!

Anyway I hope you guys can help me out here.

Cheers, Kev

I came across just you in 2008 and now have 15 trips under my belt with no 16 already booked and a list of others for the coming years. At 30 you will be one of the younger members of the tour (I'm in my 40's and have sometimes been the youngest in the group), but don't let that put you off,age is just a number and on many of the tours I've been on its been the more mature travellers that have got into the spirit of things and made it such a great experience. As others have already said, pick somewhere you really want to visit and go for it.
