Hi Bonita

If it is the Canada and New England holiday you have booked then I can recommend this tour which I did in September 2013. You see and do so much and it is a trip I could do again. Would like to see a bit more if Boston and surrounding area.

Hope you enjoy your holiday

Hi all,

Just saying hi as I have just finished booking my first Just You holiday to Dubrovnik & the Dalmatian Coast in September. Very excited but also very nervous. :s

Apart from flying from Glasgow to Cornwall to visit a friend I've never travelled alone before!

Really I booked this as an extra celebration of my 30th year. Since my birthday was only two weeks after Christmas no one was available or could afford to come to a party. So instead I'm going to Disneyland Paris with family and friends in April, but I felt I still needed something more to add a bit more pizzazz to this big number birthday year and saw a brochure in my local travel agents while I was paying for Disneyland. I picked it up, had a look and felt this could be the thing! Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new places.

Hi there.

I'm booked for that trip too but in May not September. Croatia is a wonderful country and I am sure you will have a great time.

Hi NatOwl,

You've picked a great tour for your first JY hol - I'm not doing this tour but I've my eye on it to do over the next couple of years. I was in Croatia on another tour last year and I really want to go back and see more of this amazing country!

Hope you have a brilliant time,

Bob

Hi NatOwl,

I spent time in Dubrovnik many years ago....well worth a visit. And please don't be nervous of travelling. Afterall you are at an age that many of your fellow travellers may barely remember!! (not supposed to be a put-off, just realistic). 30 & with the time, money & inclination to travel......the world is open to you! You will probably be the baby of the group but will meet very many wonderful people who are experienced travellers. Do have fun & plan many, many more holidays. Talking to your fellow travellers will provide such inspiration.

Thank you Sheila, that really does make me feel better, not put off by the age thing at all, just looking forward to meeting new people. Thank you for the advice, I'll just have to suck up the courage and make sure I speak to people.:)

Hi, I'm a new member to this site. I'm 27 and recently find myself single. Travel is one of my biggest passions and something I research a lot. Hopefully I'll get to talk to you over the next few months and learn about some of your experiences.

I'm currently looking at a possible trip to Vietnam, or maybe the walking in Cyprus, or I like the idea of the active trip to Croatia! So many to choose from!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Lewis.

Hi Lewis

I personally have not done the Vietnam trip yet though it is on my 'to do' list. If you look under the review section you will find postings of this trip. It is a very popular destination.

Hi Dave and Jaya,

Thanks for the replies. Yes Dave, there seems to be a great little community on this site, glad I stumbled upon it. Borneo sounds great, all of Asia seems to have a pull for me.

Hopefully be in a position to get something booked up in a month or two. It may be a case of spinning a globe and randomly stopping it with my finger to see where I'm off!

Jaya, yes I certainly will be looking at other reviews, thanks.

Hi Lewis,

I'm new here too and was in the same position as you are about having so many to choose from. There are just so many wonderful places that I would love to visit! I have not yet been on my first tour, but it is all booked up for September, going to Croatia, not an active one as I love everything to do with history so I'm on the tour that has more historical sites. But anyway when I first posted on here I had a lovely welcome and was very glad of it, so although I can't yet offer any advice about holiday experiences I thought I'd welcome you to the site. I hope you can decide and are able to book a holiday soon as I've heard nothing but good things about all the tours on here.

Hi all,

I am currently single and have just turned 30! There are so many places i would like to visit and I'm fed up of waiting to meet someone to come with me but I'm quite shy and nervous about travelling alone. I would love to meet new people, are people open and friendly enough? What is the age range on these trips?

Is anyone going anywhere in the summer this year?

Sorry for all the questions!!

I'm booked on the Flavours of Tuscany trip in May. It's my first JY holiday too. I thought a tour was a good idea for my first solo holiday. Look like a good tour as well. P

Hi All,

I have just returned from my first Just you holiday in France. It was fabulous! I was very nervous as I didn't know what to expect. We were so looked after. The tour guide (Lyn) was brilliant, she really made the holiday for us. I made lots of new friends. The hotel was exceptional. Luckily the weather was on our side and it was beautiful. This was my dream holiday to Monet's Garden and I was not disappointed!

Anyway if your thinking of taking the plunge, think no more, just book!

:)

Hi glad you had a brilliant time I have just took the plunge for June feeling nervous but excited to Lake Como x
