Hi Ben, I'm back over two weeks now from my last holiday and no sign of my holiday questionnaire yet! I've been in contact with someone else who has received theirs. After my previous holiday I was back more than a month before it arrived! Once upon a time they used to be there on the mat on our return from holiday. This mightn't seem to be very important, but I do think the questionnaires are very valuable and I always try to be as helpful and constructive as I can be when filling them in. The problem is when they don't arrive for weeks after my return, the memory has begun to fade and I don't remember to say some things that are worth saying!

On another matter, some people on the last holiday mentioned that they got an email from JY offering them £50 off their next holiday. I never got any emails like this, despite being a loyal JY customer over the last few years! What is the criteria for getting the money off email?

I trust you are well; my apologies you haven't received your questionnaire, if you could please let me know your booking reference of the tour you have recently returned from, I will ensure one is sent immediately.

In respect of the email, there was an email that went out but I have double checked on all of our databases and I cannot see anywhere, that you have ever subscribed to receive our email newsletters. Regulation defines that if you receive our brochures etc then we cannot automatically email you even if we have an email address for you. I can register you for emails if you wish to ensure that emails reach you in future?

Hi Ben, sorry I don't have the booking reference any more as I've shredded all the holiday documents - is there any other way you can get a questionnaire to me? Perhaps it is still in the system and the questionnaire will still turn up? It was the Vietnam/Cambodia tour departed on 13 Feb.

I really don't understand that my details aren't on your database for receiving emails, as I've subscribed several times over the years and did get them for quite a while. When I changed my email address two years ago, I rang JY to give them my new one and I presumed it was on the system since then. I do remember noticing the correct email address on the "customer details" sheet that is sent out with booking invoices, so I am on the system somewhere! I hope I'm on the mailing list for the new brochure, as you added my name to the list after a previous post! I'd be very happy for you to add my email address to receive the regular mailings. Hope there will be no glitches this time!

PS I'm still only receiving email notificiations sporadically for threads I've subscribed to. I think your whole computer/admin system needs an overhall, or at least a thorough check up!

Not a problem, I have found your booking and requested a questionnaire be sent out to you asap. I have also subscribed you to our email newsletter, you will receive an email shortly asking you to confirm your subscription.

Your quite right, the forum has grown so much and so quickly it does need some TLC! It is in the pipeline, but like with all these things, there are always other more pressing issues to get sorted, we will get there though.

I don't always get a questionnaire ....but I always do my own report on good bad and indifferent so the form in its self isn't a problem...I always get a response back in letter form from JY..

This way it's a bit more personal than ticking boxes ..

Many thanks Ben, I've created a lot of work and hassle for you today! I've received that email and have confirmed my subscription. Looking forward to completing the questionnaire when it arrives. Computers definitely need some TLC at times. Either that or a good thump! Mine keeps on logging me out of the forum (not always, but a couple of times a week - for no rhyme or reason!). People say computers are logical but I strongly disagree. Hope the system and also your good self have some time to recharge the batteries before long.

Thanks. Would be nice to have a £50 voucher to use when I rebook my holidays - hopefully the voucher will not have to be used this year!

I am fine. I had my first chemotherapy session week commencing Monday 4 March - did not get back home till late Sunday evening. I was given 2 units of blood before the 96 hour chemo and 2 units on Sunday morning. The next session was scheduled for Monday 25 March, but has been put back by a week to enable my blood count to go up. All being well, the next week long session will be on Tuesday 2 April.

Hi Ben, re. the '£50 Off Next Holiday' offer. I remember receiving an e-mail offering £50 Off but my laptop crashed and I lost the e-mail. A couple of questions for you - 1) Do I need to have the e-mail available or will I automatically be offered £50 Off when I book my next holiday (thought perhaps the offer is recorded against my details). 2) Was the £50 Off only valid for holidays UNDERTAKEN during 2013 or would I still get the £50 Off provided I booked a 2014 holiday during 2013? Thanks for getting in touch; the email offer you refer to, a condition was that you had to book before January 31st 2013; it would of had to have been redeemed against a 2013 holiday,

Hi Bob,

I have jumped on Ben's trail and can tell you that a request was submitted on the 20th March for your questionnaire to be re-sent.

As you hadn't received this, one of my colleagues put in a call to get an update. We can confirm our request was received and that the questionnaire was re-issued on 25th March. It should be with you any day now.

If you still have not received by mid-next week please let me know.
