I am keend to book a tour to China in the next year. Can you tell me what type of power adapters are needed to charge phones and cameras? Also, is mobile phone service generally available there

Please see below our recommendations for electrical adapters in china. Phone signal in China will be relatively similar to that of the UK, rural areas will suffer, whereas more built up areas will be ok. Electricity Voltage

The electrical supply in China is 220 volts, and we recommend you pack a universal electrical adaptor.

Please note that travel electrical equipment such as kettles or irons should not be used in your hotel room as they can be a fire hazard. In most Chinese hotels, rooms have hair driers.
