Hi there, I just went to book a place on the Ahr Valley trip for April 26th (Walking in the Ahr Valley by Rail) I booked the trip through St Pancras and when I reached the "options" page it gave me 2 options for rail seats, a premium for £180 and the regular "Standard Class Rail Seat" for free - which was listed as unavailable. Does this mean there are no standard class seats available right now? Does it mean I can only book the trip if I pay an extra £180 for a premium seat? (Note: I also checked Ebbsfleet and that was exactly the same. It wouldn't be an idea station for me to depart from but I can't imagine both trains being fully booked, is this a glitch perhaps?)

Thanks. Neil.

Good afternoon Neil,

Thanks for getting in touch and bringing this to my attention. I will need to look into the issue and this could take a few days as it is dependant on another department. May I suggest that you give our contact centre a call as they will be able to advise you of the correct details for this tour immediately, alternatively if you would like to email your contact details to btaylor@justyou.co.uk I will be able to arrange an adviser to give you a call at a time convenient with you,

Kindest,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I just checked the booking on the off chance and it appears to have been sorted. I was able to book my first trip and I got a train seat ok. Thanks for your help!

Regards, Neil.

Thank you Ben, you were certainly very helpful!

If I can pick your brain a little further, I do have another few questions. I excitingly received my confirmation letter through the post today, among these was a "Passport Information" sheet. It says "Additional costs may be payable if you do not return the form at least 10 weeks before departure." It then lists my personal details (Name and Date of Birth, both are correct) It then says "If the details are not correct, please correct or complete this form and return to the address below" - it then lists a section for me to fill with emergency contact details. My details are correct, but I can fill in the emergency contact details section. Do I need to fill that in and send it off?

Also, I need to get travel insurance for the trip. How do I go about getting Just You's travel insurance? Is there an email address and contact number I can use? Thanks for any help!

Good morning,

No problem at all, I am glad I was of use 🙂

You have emergency contacts details contained within your passport but we do not have a copy of this so you will need to return this form or if you want to, you can ring our contact centre and they will be able to take the details over the phone; you would be able to discuss insurance at the same time.

I hope this helps,

Kindest,

Ben

Thanks Ben!

I have another question about insurance. I was looking at different options and I was considering other insurance policies from other companies. If I were to get insurance elsewhere would I need to let JustYou know and if so, what details would I need to pass along to JustYou? (I’m new to this whole travel insurance business, I’ve never done it before, so I’m pretty ignorant of all the ins and outs.) Also as a general question, what information do I need on me to buy travel insurance? Would it just be my health or would I need anything like my National Insurance Number or anything like that? Thanks for your help!

Good morning,

No problem; if you take out your own insurance policy you will need to inform us of the insurer's details, policy number and the 24hr emergency medical number to call from abroad. when applying, they will ask for your DOB and any previous medical conditions or hospitalisations, as well as the usual details such as address etc.

I hope this helps,

Kindest,

Ben
