They recommend taking £50 in Chinese yuan for the first day or two, plus sterling to change while you are in China, as the exchange rate is better. Avoid taking £50 notes, as these can be rejected.
Kindest regards,
Julia
I took some Chinese Yuan and Sterling. I did use the ATM as got quite a good exchange rate.
Have a great trip

Hi Annie,
I am also going on the China trip on 19/9/12. Are you by any chance going from Manchester like myself is so it would be good to have someone to travel with. I would also be interested to know about how much to take and in what currency and denominations. I would also like to know what the dress code is for the evenings have you any idea?
would love to hear from you.
