Hi Ben,

I know I'm being a nuisance but I still hav'nt had a reply to my query about my luggage being checked through at Heathrow ( this is the 4th time - I asked Olly and Will first!) My Booking Reference is A209650 and I'm flying from Manchester.

I also asked if there is anyone else flying from Manchester.

Thanks,

Regards, Pat

Good morning Pat,

I'm very sorry you've not had a response yet Pat, accept my apologies, OK, your luggage will not be checked through automatically, I know they are with the same alliance, however its something in our contract with this particular airline that does not allow us to do it, however it is very easy to get from terminal to terminal, it is well signposted and there are always plenty of airport staff to hand, its no more than a ten minute walk and a lot of these passage ways have along automated escalators. I have pasted the link below which you should find helpful.

http://www.heathrowairport.com/heathrow-airport-guide/travel-between-terminals#table

As it stands currently there are 4 customers travelling from Manchester,

I hope this all helps,

anything else, please just ask,

Ben

Hi Ben,

Thankyou for your reply. No it wasn't the news I wanted to hear - I cancelled my holiday to China in favour of this because I thought the luggage would go straight through, but at least if there are four of us we can muddle through together! I'll look out for the others at Manchester airport!

Regards, Pat

Hello Pat

I don't know if this is any good to you but there are official porters at Heathrow. They can meet you at baggage reclaim and take you and your luggage to your check in desk for your onward flight. The service isn't free, but it takes a lot of worry off your shoulders. The porters have big badges on their coats with the cost highlighted.

They are called skycaps and if you search google for heathrow skycaps, that will take you to the relevant part of the heathrow web site.

I am not sure if you can prebook them, but I can see no reason why you shouldn't be able to.

Hope this helps you get from A 2 B

Have a great holiday

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thankyou for that information - I will certainly look into it!
