hello Olly,

I have been looking at your brochers over the past year or so, I have a disability and have to use crutches, I walk very slow because of my disability which causes problems on some holidays. Please could you tell me which holidays would suit me and if it would be any trouble for someone to help me with my luggage if i went on a JY holiday?

Many thanks

Gina 🙂

Hi Gina

I think the best holidays for you would be our resort holidays or all-inclusive holidays, as you will be staying at one hotel and will only need to load your bag on and off the bus once. Here are some links to these tours:

Resort holidays >

http://www.justyou.co.uk/holidays/resort-holidays/

All-inclusive holidays >

http://www.justyou.co.uk/holidays/all-inclusive/

For both types of holidays, you will always have the option of whether you go on the tours or not. Some will be perfectly OK for you and others may be too difficult (a walk in the hills, for example). You could have a chat with your tour manager to see what they advise in each case.

As for help with your bags, I'm sure someone in your group would be happy to help, within reason, but we wouldn't be able to guarantee this. The best thing to do is call us on 0844 567 8844 and discuss your needs with our holiday advisors.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Thankyou for you reply Olly, I have been thinking of the holiday in Kenya as I would love to go on saffari, I don't know whether that would be possible at all, altho it would not be this year as I already have a holiday to Australia and New zealand organized for the end of this year, as I have family and friends in both of those countries so it makes that an easier option, unfortunately for me i havn't got many family and friends dotted around the globe to be able to go round the word visiting people....shame but such is life, anyway I just wondered if you think Kenya would be a possibility with JY?

sincerely

Hi Gina

Kenya might be fine (especially if you can manage Australia and New Zealand!) but it's difficult for me to say for sure without knowing how mobile you are. I wouldn't want to tell you everything will be fine and then hear the holiday was too active for you.

The downside to Kenya is that there would be two flights to get there (to Mombasa via Nairobi) and you would be moving around the country while you are there, getting on and off safari vehicles and so on. That said, the second half of the holiday is at a beach resort in Mombasa, which would be perfect for you.

An easier option might be one of our Italy holidays, most of which involve only one flight and one hotel.

But if you have your heart set on Kenya, it's a wonderful country and the animals are unforgettable.

When you know what you want to do, please give our holiday advisors a call on 0844 567 8844. They will be best placed to decide if the holiday is suitable for you, but I hope you will manage to see Kenya.

Kind regards,

Hi Olly

Thankyou for the information on the Kenya holiday, I would love to go on saffari and getting into and out of vehicles of any variety is not generally a problem, it is just the dragging along of luggage that is the complication in that matter anyway I will give it some thought between now and then but as far as my Australia/New Zealand holiday goes I will be staying with family and friends that know of my mobility limitations so I'm sure it will be fine and i guess it would be better to wait till after that to decide about Kenya after all you've heard the saying about not running before you can walk ha ha!

regards

Gina

Hi Gina

It sounds like you have travelled quite a bit in recent years so maybe Kenya will be fine for you. As you say, maybe wait until after Australia just to be sure.

If it's just a case of moving your main bag a couple of times, I'm sure someone will help you, although of course we can't guarantee this. If no one is able to do that, many airports and hotels have porters on hand to help for a small fee.

long haul holidays tend to say in the "blurb" that hotel porterage is included, it certainly was when we went to NZ and we were then told what time to have the bag outside the room the next morning
