Dear Olly,

I am booked to go to India on Feb 19th starting my journey in Manchester. When will I be told the times of my Manchester to Heathrow flights. I need to book carparking.

Also not heard that my visa application and passport have arrived with you. Sent them on Christmas Eve.

Hi Pat

Your Manchester flight is at 3pm and you will return at 10pm but you will receive confirmed times in your final confirmation letter around two weeks before you fly. We don't recommend booking parking sooner as sometimes flight times change and then you will have the headache of changing your parking arrangements.

I am checking about your passport with a colleague and will let you know if there is a problem.

We haven't received your passport yet but it may well have been caught up in the Christmas post. If it was sent by special delivery I believe you can track it online. If not, I would give us a call next week on 0844 567 8844 and check again.

I sent my passport by special delivery and the tracking says it has arrived. I will call your office to find out what is happening.

In that case I'm sure your passport is fine. It's probably just in a queue to be processed.

It's always a good idea to send a passport by special delivery.

Passport found.

I booked my holiday via Airmiles and had sent my passport and visa stuff to them but they had not sent it to you. Anyway it is on it's way to you by special delivery so if you can, can you please ask for it to be dealt with quickly as I am due to go in 5 weeks and getting a bit worried.

Thanks Olly.Airmiles tell me that you have received my paperwork.They also say that everything has to pass back to them before coming to me. Is there anyway this can be changed so things come direct to me. This will save a lot of time and worry for me.

I can see how that would be more straightforward. The problem is that we - and I'm sure Air Miles too - have procedures in place to make sure everything gets done.

However you are welcome to give our Holiday Advisors a call on 0844 567 8844 and see if anything can be done.

But if it can't, don't worry too much. I'm sure all the paperwork will be done in plenty of time.
