Hi Olly

Can you tell me how many are booked on this trip? Also do you have any advice for a newbie at walking holidays?

Regards

Lynne

Hello Lynne, we so far have 26 people booked on this trip, with 4 available spaces still remaining.

As for some advice, I would recommend packing some good walking boots and taking some sun cream also, as you may be out walking for around 5 or 6 hours at a time.

I would also mention that we have a grading system for our walks. Each walk is graded on a scale of 1 to 3, 1 being the easiest and 3 being the hardest. Each walk should be given a rating of 1 to 3 on our website and in our brochures so you can gauge how comfortable you will be in tackling some of our walks.

I hope this information has been helpful and if you have any further queries then feel free to email me. Have a fantastic time, not long to go now!

Kind regards

I am also booked on this holiday, I'm looking forward to it very much but could you tell me a bit more about the walks please? How strenuous are grade 3 walks - how do the walks compare with say the Lake District?. I've not travelled abroad very much and especially in April, so what we can expect as regards the weather, how warm should it be? Will it be cool at night and will it be cooler up the mountains? I want to bring the right clothing! Sorry for all the questions!

Hello hazelh, as long as you are reasonably fit and in good health then you should be able to tackle our grade 3 walks. They involve more continuous stretches of trekking totalling about 5 hours a day, often in mountainous terrain where paths can be steep. You will also ascent up to 1000m per day.

As for the weather in April, it will fall between 15 and 20 degrees centigrade, so a very nice and comfortable type of weather for walking. It will obviously get cooler at night time and as you walk up mountains, so I would advise taking a fleece with you. There is also a chance that you might encounter some rain on your walks, so I would also recommend taking a thin water proof coat, just incase.

I hope this information has been helpful and if you have any further queries then feel free to email me.

Kind regards

Thanks James, that's helped. I don't think I'll have any trouble with the walking and I'll get some practice in beforehand anyway! Looking forward to it

I've just read some very mixed reports of the hotel on this holiday on various websites - some were really bad. Have you used this hotel before and if so, what were your experiences?

Hello,

Although I have not stayed in that particular hotel, I would like to say that it is worth taking online reviews with a pinch of salt. The views that are often posted online are not usually a fair representation of all of the guests that have stayed in that hotel, and it could be that some customers are reporting something that was perhaps a single bad experience, and that they are deliberately trying to slur the hotels reputation because of this.

The hotels that we use for our holidays are well known to us and have a history with us so that we can ensure our high standards of service and quality are maintained throughout our holidays, as well as maintaining our reputation. If one of our regular hotels did fall below a standard that we deemed unacceptable, then we would no longer use that hotel.

I am quite confident that the hotel we are using for this holiday is of a very good standard and that it will not distract you from having a superb holiday with Just You.

Kind regards
