Hi all. Anyone else going on this?  Has anyone been to Cordoba before?  There is a full day trip on the last day, (Boxing Day), so is Cordoba worth it?  Would be grateful for any info. Thanks.

Hi

Visited Cordoba on a holiday to Andalusia last year. It is well worth a visit particularly the cathedral. Seville is a lovely city with plenty to do and see.

Hello Mike, I too am going on this cruise, unfortunately it has taken a while to get on this forum and respond to your message.  I am hoping I can book the trips as we go along rather than buy the complete package of excursions without getting any recommendations, just in case there is the opportunity to explore off piste!

Hi Bev! I haven't booked any trips yet either. The Cordoba one seems to be all day and not sure I want to do that, although I have heard it is lovely. It is also on the last day. I might do the Cadiz one, but I've been to Jerez and Seville before. Saw a friend on Monday who went on a JY River Trip to Portugal last year with the same (French owned), cruise company and she said the ship was great, so she didn't do any excursions either but just walked around locally. I also looked up the weather and it all looks good, between 11c (on 26th), and 18c (on 22nd), but mostly around 15c.

Hi Bev, I thought I'd posted a reply the other day, but it hasn't appeared yet. Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you! I saw a JY friend earlier this week who went on a cruise in Portugal from the same company. She said the food was great and it was a wonderful trip. Looking forward to meeting you. I still haven't booked anything, so like you, I may chance it and leave it until we get there.

All the destinations on the trips are really interesting and well worth visiting. Cordoba is indeed lovely, with the stunning Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita) being a highlight.
