I know we are not in summer yet, but having just received the Xmas brochure, thought the trip to Jersey looks

good, love to hear from anyone thinking the same or from anyone who went last year on what it was like.

Hi John

I'm not going on this tour because I'm already here (I'm a born and bred 'Jersey Bean'!), however, I've had a look at the brochure and think this looks like a lovely trip. For starters you'll be staying in a very nice hotel, right on the St Helier Waterfront area which is always beautifully lit around the festive period and also with super views over the marina, the bay and Elizabeth Castle. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk into the main shopping precinct.

Unfortunately, the dates of the tour mean that you will miss our annual Christmas festival 'Le Fete De Noue' (markets, entertainment and a grand parade) which is held over 10 days in early December. However, there is always plenty going on at this time of year, including two local pantomimes if you are that way inclined.

The one thing to bear in mind about our little Island, being on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, is that in mid winter it can get quite damp and misty (and frequently extremely windy!). We also have lovely wintery blue sky days too, but be prepared for everything. Providing you pack warm layers and a rainproof jacket, you will be all set

Happy to help with any other 'Bean tips' or questions that you may have.

All the best

Mandy

Hi Sue & Mandy,

Thanks for your replies, and for your tips Mandy, I have been to Jersey twice but many years ago now, but I don't suppose it has changed much in that time, I agree it looks a lovely spot to spend Xmas, not booked yet, but its top of my list at the moment.

Best Wishes.

John.

Hi John

Dependant on when you last visited us, some parts of Jersey have changed quite a bit. For starters, the hotel being used is on re-claimed land that used to be part of St Aubin's Bay, so this time you will only get your feet wet if you are in the shower!

All the best

Hi John, I'm going to book Jersey for Christmas this year. Have you booked already? I've been to St Lucia with JY this year and that was my first solo holiday. Must say the hotel looks lovely. May see you there.....
