First time traveller with this type of holiday, little worried about age gaps as it seems to be majority of 40+ people.

I have booked up the Istrian Coast Croatia tour in June. Do I have anything to worry about? And what is the typical age range for these holidays?

Welcome to the world of JY travel, can I just say age is just a number, I am 58 and have been travelling the world with just you for the last 11 years. Main age group I would say is 55-75 with some younger or older.

If you post on the editors board the tour and date they should be able to give you the male/female ratio age range and how many are going.

People all get on together for the duration of the tour, and some great friendships can be formed..

I have not been on this tour. Any other questions just ask.

On several of my JY holidays there have been young travellers & the numbers are increasing. Please don't worry too much, everyone mixes very well no matter what age, & you will find there will be as much company as you want. The June tour has sold out so there will be plenty of people around to get to know, all have the same choice of holiday in common

I too am finding that there are younger and younger people coming on the holidays which is great.  My experience is that people of all ages on the holidays mix together well, and find plenty to talk about. 

I have been on this particular holiday twice.  If you have never been to Croatia before you are certainly in for a treat.  The scenery is wonderful, the people are really friendly, and prices are till relatively low. 

I will say that there is quite a bit of walking on this holiday, certainly if you go to the Plitvice Lakes which is now an included excursion.  There is plenty of really nice walking in the hotel area too.  The beaches are all pebbles so do take beach shoes.

You should have nothing to worry about. I went to Sardinia last year, of the 25 people 20 of the were aged 50 and upwards. I was the youngest, but managed to get on with pretty much everyone, and being on a tour you pretty much forget about age as you are having so much fun.

I can only reiterate the other replies. I did my first JY holiday last year and was similarly concerned. I was in a group of 31 which included 5 men and 26 women age range 25-82. Everyone mixed in together, you didn't have the men or the younger ones forming separate groups and the "seasoned" travellers supported the rep in looking out for the newbies. If you still want space and "me" time when on the excursions, no-one will make anything of it. I came away with 2 new friends who I'm even closer to now we've got to know each other better. Honestly, you'll have a great time with whoever is there.

Age is just a number. Don't let age worries put you off. It is always nice to meet people of all ages and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy your first Just You Experience and will want to book another holiday on your return.
