I'll post a review of the new hotel and resort when I get back.  Hopefully it will be ok.

Unfortunately age is only not so much of an issue as you get older. In my 20's and 30's I would have been horrified at going on holiday with a group of people who were all 50+, as I would have seen this as going on holiday with my parents or grandparents.

JY from what I have read online, aim their holidays at the older generation - this is what they stated in feefo and I couldn't find anything relating to the age range on JY's website. The fact that more and more younger people are looking for safe ways to travel is great as I really like a mix of all ages. Perhaps the reason why JY don't mention the age range on their site is because they are looking to expand their portfolio to attract all ages... but if I was a younger traveller I think I would be asking the same question - what is the age range.

Hi as someone at the younger end of the JY age spectrum I thought I'd throw my thoughts into the mix!  On most of the tours I've done there have been some younger people in their 20s and 30s (not many I admit but usually one or more on most tours - once I was the youngest at 42!) and they have had no problem at all mixing with the group.  I can understand how someone much younger might be apprehensive but it really is not a difficulty at all as everyone is too focused on enjoying themselves to worry about what age you are!  I've learned a lot from the more "mature" people I have met on JY tours and am in regular contact with many of my former fellow travellers.  Certainly someone in their 40s (like me) should have no problem in relating to people who are in their 50s- 70s!!  The only people I have ever seen not mix well with the group have been the occasional person who has chosen to keep themselves apart from the others - and invariably on the rare occasion that has happened, it has been an older, rather than a younger person!

I booked on this trip too in June. Booked it before hotel changed. Really disappointed that we are no longer in PP couldn't face trying to swap and now very apprehensive about my trip. Been told by JY it's a better hotel but I don't see it via website.
