Hi - I am seriously thinking of booking this. It would be a first trip for me alone - I have always wanted to go to Nepal. Has anyone else the wrong side of 60 been or is thinking of going? There is only 1 walk that sounds challenging but I would absolutely hate to be the weakest walker in the group and hold others back. There is only 1 review for this trip so there is no info from others as to how strenuous they found it. It would be good to hear from others who have been or are going, as to their level of walkimg ability and fitness. I just need a bit more confidence to go ahead. Thanks.

I posted the above question about Nepal just hours prior to the earthquake striking. It is humbling to think I was planning to go and enjoy the country when so many lives have been taken or will never be the same. Nepal will hope that tourism continues unabated but unfortunately the earthquake will change a lot of tourist plans including my own as I am now unlikely to book for this year, but maybe next.

Hi JayC,

There are never many threads on Nepal and you just happened to post this hours prior to the earthquake. It certainly makes one think and count our blessings.

Hopefully Nepal will recover from this tragedy and tourists will start flocking back despite many old monuments being destroyed by the earthquake. Nepal is on my list of places to visit and I still hope to go there one day, albeit to see the 'new' Nepal rather than the 'old' one.
