Hi, I am new to this site and hope to book a holiday over Christmas ... are there any recommendations for something not too long haul and with activity and relaxation in equal measure - ideally warm rather than cold thanks

hello Lissie

Welcome to you, I do not go on the Christmas breaks but there many people that do, so I am sure one of them will leave you a message. I have been on many JY holidays and I can assure you it is a very safe way to travel, If I can help with anything else just ask.

Hope you Great great Christmas break away.

Hello Lissie,

I have been on several JY Christmas holidays - all in the snow. They were all most enjoyable but, if you are after warmth, then somewhere like Spain is probably your best bet, warm(er) and not too long a flight. Wherever you pick, you will have a great time!

David.

Depends how long you want to go for, last year I did Costa Brava which covers both christmas and new year, the hotel had entertainment on every night, varying between, musicians, flamenco dancers, disco, etc.

Wasn't sunbathing weather but was not cold either, good for walking and exploring. Plenty of excurrsions plus easy to get the train either south to Barcelona or north to various places (had nice lunch in Blanes.

If its just christmas or new year i can recommend Andalucia although i didn't do that holiday during the festive season enjoyed the excurrsions.
