Hi, Having been to Thailand in March this year, which was absolutely fantastic, the time has come to book next years trip, this is getting to be quite an addiction lol !!!!!!!

I have my sights on China but due to work comittments I cannot go in my prefered month of September. The other options are either 18th June or 8th October. Has anybody been in these months and can give any advice especially the weather situation. I would rather it be hot (shorts/t-shirts) than cool (trousers/cardigans). I have looked at websites but prefer info from people who have been before I decide.

I want to do the add on cruise and would probably go for the upgrade, again if it is benefial.

So pleased I went to Thailand and would recommend it goes on everyones to-do list.

Regards

Debs

Hi Debs, I'm going on this trip on 7th August 2013 and have also booked the Yangtze add on; I haven't booked the upgrade - 'Ive been in two minds about what to do re the upgrade since reading the threads but have decided to go without. If you have any other queries maybe I'll be able to help on my return? Like you, August wouldn't have been my month of choice but it was a case of I really wanted to go to China and as this is the only month I could go I've gone with it.

Hey Marie, I hope you had a fab time on the cruise.

I was just telling the fam about the pic with the little chinese baby in the Panda sanctuary and was wondering if you had that on your camera or any other pics of me ha!

Hi Debs, I'm hoping to do this amazing tour in Sept next year and I've done a bit of research on climate, which may of course be contradicted by folks who have actually been there at those times! I have friends who went at the end of May this year and it was very smoggy in the cities and hot/very humid as well, so I'd say June would be similar and probably a good bit hotter too. My preference would be to go in Oct, it would be cooler and possibly some rain but I think it would be better than high heat/smog/humidity etc, but that's just my take on it! Also with climate change, many parts of the world are getting unseasonable weather which can be colder and wetter than expected, as well as hotter than the norm! I went to South America last Sept and it should have been +20C in Chile and it was barely 10C!! The only bit of advice I'd give you is that after reading many, many threads on this tour and looking at Trip Advisor (which I do take with a pinch of salt), it really does seem worthwhile to upgrade on the cruise - I certainly will be!

I hope you pick the right date to suit you best, if you choose Oct and I get to go in Sept, I'll put up a review as soon as I get back!

Hope this helps in some way...

Bob

Hi Bob, thanks for your info on the weather, still undecided but think the warmer muggy weather over rules cooler 'cardigan/trousers weather' lol. Im sure the upgrade will be on my tick list!! Think I might just wait to see the next brochure to check the new trips before I book, getting excited already!!!
