I'm on this trip from 26 Sept so will just be starting when you're almost at the end of yours! Hope you have a lovely trip and it would be interesting to hear all the thoughts after the holiday - although every one I've read says what a brilliant, but exhausting, time they had!

It is so nice to know now I will have some one looking out for me when I arrive in Heathrow. I am flying down from Manchester that morning. I think the flight leaves at 7.25 am and is about a 1 hour flight.

Yes the count down has begun, got the suitcase out ready and started with bits and pieces. Think it is the hardest part tyring to know what to pack.

Look forward to meeting you Jan too when I arrive at Heathrow.

Crikey Pauline you are organised!! My suitcase will remain in the cupboard until Friday afternoon at which time I will have to face the packing because of leaving for Heathrow on Saturday. I hate packing, find it way more stressful than travelling, even on my own, and always leave it until the last minute. And this time is worse trying to figure out all the layers to take and still be within the baggage allowance. Maybe I'll promise myself a glass of wine at the end of it.......carrot & donkey!

I have been to the USA many times on JY tours???I travel with one suitcase it's the weight you outings it you have to be careful of I think it's about 20kgs in total, most USA hotels have irons and hair dryers, use travel size toiletries save on weight. Pack clothes you can layer on or off, the USA is not a dressy country so go for smart casual and clothes your comfy in. hand luggage I think is 5kgs some airlines are very strict a handbag is classified as the 1 piece of hand luggage others will let you have a handbag + a hand luggage hold all. I pack my handbag away in May

In case and just travel with a back pack. Don't forget don't pack to the weight limit as I am sure you will buy a few things while your away!!!...

I always pack toothpaste and brush clean underwear and t shirt in my hand luggage just in case the main case goes missing..unfortunately it can happen.
