Hello,

I am 29 (soon to be thirty) and have just come across Just You. What a fab company!

I love to travel but of course I never have anyone to go with but I am really looking to do something over Christmas and New Year with JY. I just wondered if anyone was booked on any trips or had any recommendations from people who have went on any previous trips at Christmas?

Thanks!

Kim

WELCOME KIM

I have been on 9 JY tours but none have been Christmas...I do know they are very popular and do get booked quite fast, so dont hang around to long if there is one you have your eye on..

I am sure someone that has been on one will reply to you.

Have fun and great way to travel and you are very safe...if I can help with anything else just ask.

Hi Kim

I've been on a few Christmas/New Year trips with JY - New Year in Iceland, Christmas and New Year in the Italian Dolomites & Croatia and Christmas in Lake Bled. Can highly recommend them as you get so much food particularly on Christmas day where you normally have lunch AND dinner!! It's wonderful to be abroad to celebrate Christmas which has become too commercial here.

I haven't booked for this year yet, but am considering Lake Garda or Marrakech. Diverse, I know!

If you have any specific questions on the the places I have visited, ask away.

Regards

Sylvia

Welcome Kim.

I've been on 9 JY tours and last year spent Christmas at Lake Como. I enjoyed this so much I really wanted to return for this Christmas. However, travelling from Manchester/Heathrow, the flight times were not too good for me. Instead, I opted for Christmas in Andalucía having been to this particular hotel before.

Wherever you go, you will really enjoy yourself. You will be well looked after from the minute you step onto the outward flight to the return flight.

Hope you come to a decision and have a great time, wherever you choose. Good luck.

Regards,

Denise

My first holiday with Just You was last Christmas/New Year and I went to the Costa Brava and had a fantastic holiday. Met lots of lovely people, some of whom I am still in touch with. Have just come back from Costa de la Luz and am now looking to book for this Christmas, Think it will probably be Andalucia. I am sure you will have a great time wherever you decide to go.

Hi Hils

The hotel in the Dolomites is family run and is small and friendly. Our group took over the place when we visited in December 2011! At breakfast we had to choose what we wanted for dinner that evening, so if you sat at a different table confusion would reign!!

On boxing day there is the annual Ski Sprint where local teams (police etc) sprint in relays around the town on skis. If there is no snow, they ship it in the night before, so worth a look at them doing that and the actual sprint.

I stayed in a different hotel in Opatija but recommend that you see the new year in with the locals on the sea front watching the fireworks. Five of us did this and the locals shared their bubbly with us and a bar owner gave us two ladies a rose each!

I hope this helps.

Hi Carla

I am also on the Christmas Marrakesh tour. Temperatures will be probably in the low 20's during the day and perhaps as low as 6 to 10 during the evening and night. Travelling down from "up North" the day before and stopping at the Holiday Inn Gatwick for the early flight. Stuart

Hi Carla and Stuart

I would start following the weather for Marrakech now to give you a rough idea of temperatures - bbc, accuweather, weather channel etc. It will be cold at night and first thing and once the sun is up, t-shirt weather but cooler in the shade.

Hi

I went to Marrakech for Christmas last year and had a great time. It is cold early mornings and evenings so do take some warm clothes. Also, you need layers when you go to the fantasia show. All those going to Marrakech have a lovely Christmas.
