I am thinking of booking this trip for later in the year, can anyone give me tips on the best time to go.

I went on this one in October last year. Overall the trip was very good, but the weather was cooler and more cloudy than it might have been a couple of weeks earlier - this affected some of the views, but in some ways made the Alps even more atmospheric! Also, by that time the Alten Rhein cruise had stopped running, so the 'mountain adventure' day had to be rearranged.
