Hi, first of all thanks to those of you who have already been and kindly provided bits of useful info. The nervous excitement has started to kick in now as its time to get my head around packing!! I would be grateful of any do's and dont's regarding what clothes to take, also tips on packing for five different places (apart from Kenya, i've only packed to stay in one place). Also do you find that most people do all the extra trips as it wouldn't be nice to be the only person not going on a trip!

Im so pleased the trip is fully booked and looking forward to meeting everyone at Heathrow (in the VIP lounge for a drink to calm the nerves of course lol). Hopefully we will get to know soon who our Tour Guide is. I have submitted my vaccination query form to the practice nurse to see if any are needed (hope thats a reminder for other people!). Gosh, I love it when a plan comes together - eventually!!!

Regards

HI Debs :D

Im going on this holiday on 25th April and very very excited now, canty wait. this will be my 2nd hol with JY after going to Kenya last year. I have booked most the excursions apart from 2 which if I change my mind I can book at the hotel,

I hear alot of people book a few or even all the excursions before the holiday as they sound great so dont worry you wont be the only one going lol.

As is hot in April and March I will be packing hot summer stuff and stuff for the beach part but long trousers for the Wats as you cant wear shorts :)

Any hints and tips I find on my hol I will let you know :D

Hi, thanks Chloe, think I will book quite a few and decide on the others when the next lot of info comes through with the itinerary. Seems strange looking for some new summer clothes whilst people are still shopping for winter :)

Hi debs,

I did the Peru/amazon trip last year which involved some travelling around. I have a 'Maisie Moo' bag which is like a really big soft sided bag. (Have a look on Google). It opens into two separate sides which is great for putting ie clothes in one side and shoes, toiletries, plug adapters etc in the other. No need to unpack much at all as you can see and get at everything really easily. I'm taking very light clothing, mostly casual with a couple of nicer things for the evenings. I also take a really light weight but strong extra hold all inside the main case for presents etc to bring home.

See you soon,

Best wishes, Bridget:thumbup:

Hi Bridget

Glad you have said that you pack a couple of nicer things for the evening. I was wondering if people bothered. I will now do likewise. My suitcase sounds similar to yours.

Look forward to seeing you soon
