Hello Lynda

Just think, in 12 weeks time we'll be on our way! I've booked into the Radisson on the Sunday night as I have to travel over by train from Selby. Looking forward to meeting you.

Janet

Hi Janet

I just can't wait!

I've also booked myself into the Radisson on the Sunday night. I'm travelling from Leeds and not sure about how I'll get there yet. I plan to get there no later than 5pm and really excited about the whole trip. There sounds to be some amazing people on the tour and we're all in the same boat (so to speak!)

sooooo looking forward to meeting you (all)

Lynda

Hi Janet, if you want to text before we travel my mobile no. is 0781 493 0594 it would be good to share what to wear tips!!

Hi to everyone going on this tour - looking foward to meeting you all.

If anyone could give me any tips also on what to wear??? I've heard the weather can be quite warm around November-time.

To those flying from Manchester and staying at the Raddison overnight, do you fancy meeting up on the Sunday evening?

According to the internet it will be cool and rainy in San Fran - warmer in Los Angeles and hotter in Las Vegas so a selection of clothes I guess! What about evening wear though - specially in Las Vegas ?

Think T-shirts and cardigans might be the answer! As for eveningwear, I've invested in black trousers and a few fancy tops.

I've been to Las Vegas in November before. It was hot during the day (t-shirts and shorts or cropped trousers), but it was cold in the hotels and shops because of the air conditioning so a light cardigan was useful. It came in abit chilly at night.

At night the dress code seemed to be wear what you like. I went for smart/casual trousers and tops.

Those of us staying at the Radisson at Manchester Airport the night before we fly could meet up in the bar for a drink.

Hello,

I like the sound of a varied selection of clothing! Presuming we are taking suitcases on wheels? Very new to all this so im taking a guess? Im so excited to meet you all at Heathrow (most of you)! My confirmation pack came through the other day so it just kicked off the excitement again. I've spoken to so many people about this trip and they have all had great tips and ideas of what to do and where to go when you have a bit of spare time.

Las Vegas - whatever goes... I havent opted for the show in the evening so potentially something a little glitzy!

Also, being on a coach a lot of the time (presuming), comfy attire will be my main priority!! :)

Hi Shell.

Can't believe it's come round so quickly! Would really like to visit Alcatraz - one of my work colleagues that it's something not to be missed. If you find out out to book it, please let me know. I'm sure there'll be other travellers wanting to go too.

Hi Lynda.

I'll be arriving in Manchester late afternoon so it would really be great to meet up on the evening with you and the others. I'm sure we can sort that out nearer the time - which isn't very far away! I am so looking foward to this holiday, I've wanted to travel to the West Coast of America for so long. Can't believe it's only 6 weeks to go!! Like you, I've started making lists and trying to get organised.

Hi Rob.

First singles holiday for me too - but I'm sure we'll all have a great time. I'm flying from Manchester - what about you? I've also pre-booked the Palm Springs and Universal Studios trips and plan to book a lot more when I get there - I want to pack in as much as I can while I'm there! Only 6 weeks to go!!

Alcatraz is 100% not to be missed.

It's a nice ferry ride across, and the thing that hit me, is how, as soon as you get out of the "calm" waters of the bay into the Pacific ocean currents, you feel the ferry really struggling to make headway.

No matter how strong a swimmer you are, you would really struggle, so did anyone really survive the escape !

Enjoy the holiday

Stuart
