Sorry if this type of thread has already been done.

Brand new to all of this.

Looking for opinions of the Discovery Weekends.

Anyone been / going? What are they like? Was it a worthwhile thing to do before taking the plunge and booking a trip?

I'm looking at Bournemouth possibly later this year.

Many thanks.

Wales 66.

When I started 6 years ago with JY they did not do discover weekends, I jumped straight in and booked a USA holiday, so for me I would say if there is a holiday you fancy book that and put the money from a discovery weekend into that pot.

Hi

I have just booked the Bournemouth trip for 5th October to get a taste of a singles holiday as this is all new to me too. It seemed like a good ( and less scary) idea and hopeful when I have been my only concern with booking a foreign holiday will be deciding which one to do first!!!!

Possibly see you there

Hi - have just been on a Discovery Weekend (probably like you, wanted to test the water) and I had a great time. I went to Bournemouth and the hotel was great - perfect site right next to the beach, lovely room and close to the town.

Colin, tour manager was really helpful, met some really nice people and I am now looking at my next trip a bit further afield 🙂

I've just done the Bournemouth w/e and can recommend it. There were 47 of us! All well organised, including a bit of a spending outing to Poole!

Hello

I too just took the plunge and booked a holiday without going on a discovery weekend. If you already have a destination in mind, then I would suggest that you go ahead and book it. With Just You you do not have to worry about anything. Good care is taken of you from start to finish.
