Hi I'm Chris, I am 38 from Birmingham, West Midlands. I've done abit of travelling by myself from typical mass beach resorts to stunning locations such as Lisbon, Nice, Monte Carlo (Monaco), Toronto etc. I'd like to travel further afield but wouldn't want to do that alone. Australia/New Zealand interest me and I'd always said that i would put that on my list to do before i'm 40.

I love travelling and seeing new places an am an avid fan of travel shows and explorers like Michael Palin. Travelling by yourself is okay for short trips but i think you miss out on things such as eating out and being able to share a breath taking view or sensing history in an historic building etc. I generally get on well with people of all ages, however it would be nice to meet a mixture of ages. I guess thats one of the reasons I thought id have a look on this site. I have a busy stressful life and don't have any ties other than work, so whilst i have health and the will to travel, i think i should do it.

It would be good if the site allowed you to have a more detailed profile including travel interests, places that people want to visit soon or in the future etc.

Always good to make new acquaintenances and friends.

Welcome Chris

I dob't really now about more detailed profile, perhaps mention it on the editors board? they seem to know a bit more about these things.

I have done Australia on my own and I this January have been on the Hong Kong New Zealand tour, which was really good and very good company. I am 53, been doing these holidays for 6 years if you have a look on the video link on here I and Cindy (nixon) which might explain a few more things for you.

Happy Travelling

Cindy

Hi Chris,

I'm in a very similar sitation to yourself, I'm 41 and have done 4 JY tours now and they have all been fantastic. I hope to see the world in the years ahead and with escorted tours you are taken to the most interesting places in each location without the hassle of finding your way around, booking tickets, getting lost etc! The age profile on JY tours seems to be getting younger - I am just back from India (fascinating and a real experience) and there were three others around my age, as well as a younger lady in her late 20s. Everyone mixes very well on these hols anyhow, so age is not an issue. I just want to do as many holidays as I'm able over the next few years! Any comments or suggestions, feel free to ask and perhaps our paths will cross on a future trip!

Cheers,

Bob

Hello and Welcome Chris

I too am like a girl in a sweet shop when it comes to travelling! I love seeing different places. I am not a 'beach' person - get bored very quickly. Just You is great as a lot of sightseeing trips are included and you are very well looked after. As Bob said, there is no hassle about finding your own way, booking trips etc. I have been on 2 Just You holidays, am going on my 3rd in May and have also booked Holyland for October. Am thinking of going to China next year. If you would liike to meet people of all ages and background, then Just You is the place for you. By the way I am a young 55!
